Mission
| APAG is the European Oleochemicals and Allied Products Group and represents the European producers of Fatty Acids, Glycerine, Alcohols, Metallic Soaps and Fatty Nitriles & their Derivative and Fatty Esters. It provides a forum on statistical, technical, analytical and regulatory matters and other topics of common concern to members. It takes a pro-active approach to new legislation and regulations. The Group also promotes the knowledge and use of the industry products, and aims to enhance the visibility of APAG in Brussels. |

Member companies of the Group are committed to safe operations with a deep concern for health and the environment.
Organisation
Remit
- Defend the interests of member companies in matters of common concern such as BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy), nickel in animal feed ingredients, waste products, transport regulations, import duties, analytical methods, Existing Chemicals Regulation.
- Expand and capitalise on lasting relationships with the EU and kindred organisations and to explore and extend network into national legislations.
- Initiate the establishment of a global forum of regional oleochemical and allied product associations: SDA (Soap and Detergent Association), AOMG (Asean Oleochemicals Manufacturers Group) and APAG.
- Assemble Industry Statistics.
- Address all product-related issues as they arise.
